Start by clarifying that the movie is centered in "the beach"  a heavenly and secret place where stay to avoid exhaustation and business life.

From an athical point of view thew autor focused on an individualistic ideal since only a small gropu of people knew the place, also where leave one of their memebers in the jungle, because they believe obsolete as a shark has bitten and there as no expectation of survival.

The objective of the movie is to give the viewer that life without technology, that traps and absorbs us, with a world obstacles and formulas that make aour perpective boring, from this point "the beach" is a form os escape from the everyday, namely, that is good to take a break occasionality, that the life not only workingbut also notice thata the heart also feels, that the exploration of cultures and new ideals is useful to make way for the construction of a new way of living.
